Influenza Virus A & B cause what is commonly known as the flu.  The flu is a contagious respiratory illness that can be spread person-to-person or by airborne contaminants.  It causes many symptoms including fever, headache, cough and sore throat.  Both Influenza Viruses A & B are responsible for seasonal flu.
