Clongen Laboratories, LLC is a multidisciplinary facility with rapidly expanding clinical diagnostic and research contracts divisions. Since its inception, Clongen Laboratories' main goal has been to deliver the highest quality service and to establish a leading position in both the clinical diagnostics as well as contract research markets. Our services also include clinical trials support and custom assay design and validation.We are currently looking for a Labortory Assistant who would be a key player in our laboratory. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, someone who is willing to learn many different areas of science because of the diversity of projects we perform, a highly motivated scientist and someone who is anxious to learn and do real science. This position will provide support in cell culture, molecular diagnostics and custom cloning projects. We are also in the production phase of some commercial diagnostics products and the candidate will be involved in validation and quality control processes as well. We operate under GLP and GMP conditions and expect that the candidate would have prior work knowledge of FDA regulations and how to operate in clinical diagnostics environments.
Job Requirements:
- B.S.or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Life Sciences with relevant work experience. Applicants with Medical Technology Backgrounds and/or Hospital laboratory experience will be given preference.
- At least one year of work experience with demonstrated record of success.
- Demonstrated ability to learn laboratory technologies and work independently.
- Knowledge in Molecular and Cell Biology, Molecular Cloning, Microbiology and Cell Culture highly desirable.
- Computer literacy a must. Must be able to efficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access and is willing to learn.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Medical technology or ASCP board certification helpful but is not essential.
